e-Card Online Registration for Los Angeles Residents
With your e-card, you will have 24/7 access to Los Angeles Public Library's online services.
- The e-card allows you, a Los Angeles city resident, to:
- Access and use the library's electronic resources, placing information from articles and databases at your fingertips
- Download best-selling e-media titles (Freegal Music not included) 24/7 to your PC at home or anywhere in the world.
Complete the online application to gain immediate access to the library's electronic resources. You will immediately receive your e-card number by e-mail.
The e-card does not allow you to reserve, access, or print from the library's Internet workstations. Freegal Music downloads and OneClickDigital e-media are not available with the e-card. Also, the e-card does not allow you to check out materials or place holds. A full-access library card is required for these services.
If you already have a Los Angeles Public Library card, you do not need an e-card. Your current card number can be used for electronic resources, accessing databases, checking out e-media, and placing holds.
Within two weeks you should receive a postcard in the mail asking you to confirm receipt of your e-card number and verifying your postal address. You will need to reply to this postcard by telephone or email to maintain your e-card for the 6 month term.
